[wpezmap width=”280px” height+”190px”]Burns Court,Sarasota,FL[/wpezmap] November kicks off the festivities and special events in the Sarasota area. The Chalk Festival was not your ordinary art show. Artists gathered, literally, from around the world bringing their creative talents to the pavements of Historic Burns Court. The artists create their artwork in blocks of space on the street. Many are 3 dimensional but what is interesting is when you view it from street level it is someone’s vision done in chalk in 2 dimension. When you view it from a higher level, such as a ladder or chair, it takes on a 3 dimension appearance.
This year’s festival featured world reknowned artist, author, architect and innovator of 3-D art Kurt Wenner. His lectures and actual creation of pavement art was a thrill to those who attended.
